Warehouse Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver

Location: Peterborough, Orton Southgate 
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Pay Rate: £14.42 – £15.38 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Initially 6 months, with the potential to become permanent following review
Payment Method: Weekly timesheet via Reed
Start Date: Immediate – interviews and starts available straight away

The Role

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a small, friendly team of three. This is a hands-on role combining forklift operation with general warehouse duties, supporting daily warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading goods
• Moving and storing stock within the warehouse
• Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch
• General warehouse housekeeping duties
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times

Skills & Experience Required

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
• Previous warehouse experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
