About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom by supporting students’ learning, development, and wellbeing.

You will work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality learning support, helping pupils to achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs (e.g. SEN, EAL)
• Assist with classroom organisation and behaviour management
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback
• Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, patient, and flexible approach
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience supporting SEN pupils
• Knowledge of phonics programmes or intervention strategies
• First Aid training
