Financial Adviser / Adviser Manager position in Borehamwood

£80,000 - £90,000

There is an opportunity for an experienced Financial Planner / IFA Manager to join a highly respected national wealth management business in their Borehamwood office.

This is a senior leadership position within a structured pod environment, combining client-facing financial planning with team leadership responsibilities. The role offers the opportunity to inherit an existing client bank while mentoring and developing a team of Financial Planners, Trainees and support staff.

The position is approximately 75% client-facing financial planning and 25% leadership and management.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision

Oversee advice quality

Conduct regular 1:1s, appraisals and performance reviews

Observe client meetings to ensure consistent high-quality advice delivery

Adviser Development & Mentoring

Coach and mentor Financial Planners and trainees

Support technical development and career progression within the team

Drive a culture of high performance and continuous improvement

Business Growth & Client Strategy

Manage prospect pipelines and contribute to growth initiatives

Work closely with operational and paraplanning support teams to ensure smooth client delivery

Client Advisory

Maintain a personal client book

Deliver complex, holistic financial planning advice across pensions, investments, protection and legacy planning

The ideal candidate will:

• Experienced as a Financial Planner (typically 5+ years)
• Ideally be Chartered or close to Chartered status
• Be confident working with high-net-worth and complex clients
• Have strong technical knowledge across holistic financial planning
• Be comfortable leading, coaching and holding advisers to high standards
• Demonstrate strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
