About the Role

Veritas Education are currently recruiting Full-Time Secondary Teaching Assistants to support a range of secondary schools across Rochdale and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education who are looking to make a real impact in the classroom.

You will work closely with teachers to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
• Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
• Support students with additional needs (including SEND)
• Help prepare classroom resources and activities
• Encourage student participation, confidence, and progress

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with young people (school-based or similar)
• Be patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Be committed to supporting students' academic and personal development
• Hold a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
