Our client is based in Chobham in Surrey, after probation, there could be the opportunity to work from home available too, they operate throughout the UK and Europe and are currently growing their team.

JOB PURPOSE

This role involves working within the collections and recoveries team dealing with cases from instruction to closure for a variety of asset finance companies. You will need to ensure processes are followed in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.

A key part of the role is to ensure the correct customer outcomes while adhering to all regulations.

This role contributes to ensuring a consistent translation of all internal policies and procedures into working practices whilst demonstrating role-model behaviours.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assisting the Collections and Recoveries Manager in working accounts from allocation to end result for all clients, ensuring the company rules and guidelines are adhered to at all times. This can include but is not limited to instructing agents to act on behalf of the client, conducting traces, arranging collection of assets, closing cases and completing client reports
  • Customer contact via telephone, email and letter, ensuring that all processes and procedures are adhered to whilst maintaining a high standard of front and back office as demonstrated through quality assurance checks.
  • Liaising directly with lenders and dealing with request in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Liaising directly with field-based operatives and ensuring reports and workload is monitored
  • Accurately updating all systems with relevant information, with detailed client reports on the information submitted.
  • General adhoc tasks as and when required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Ability to cope under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Desirable

  • Experience working a financial industry.
  • Ability to understand and interpret data and management information.
  • Basic understanding of financial legislation/requirements including but not limited to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), FCA and Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • C or equivalent grade in English & Maths or qualified by experience.
