Your New Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking HGV Class I Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will support daily operations by driving stock to an from our clients. Some routes may require nights out and flexibility is desired.

Key Responsibilities

• Complying with all relevant legislation and agreed procedures to ensure a safe and legal working environment and consistent quality standards
• Maintaining and promote a positive image of The Appliance Recycling Group
• Manual handling
• Safe and high driver standards and positive driver behaviours
• Responsible for the security of the vehicle & load at all times
• Report vehicle defects and ensure that the defect is documented
• Comply with Driver’s regulations & Working Time Directive in line with the O License legalisation and Company procedures

In addition to these duties, you may be required to undertake other duties in line with the needs of the business, where appropriate training is provided:

• Ensure all documentation is completed as per company procedure
• Follow all housekeeping tasks as required
• Flexibility as working overtime will be required, including some weekend work
• Flexibility as nights out may be required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic understanding of health and safety practices
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
