Job Title: Motor Vehicle Lecturer

Location: Lancashire

Pay: Up to £41,937 per annum (DOE) + £4,000 market premium (for eligible candidates)

Hours: Full-Time

Start Date: August 2026


About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join a forward-thinking Further Education provider in Lancashire.

This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about the automotive industry and keen to share their knowledge, inspire learners, and shape future professionals. Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Motor Vehicle courses (Entry Level to Level 3)
  • Plan and prepare engaging lessons and learning materials
  • Support learners to develop practical, industry-ready skills
  • Track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the development of the Motor Vehicle curriculum (for experienced candidates)
  • Build relationships with employers to support industry placements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Qualified to Level 3 or above in a motor vehicle or related subject
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve within 3 years)
  • Ideally holds assessor/verifier qualifications
  • Passionate about the automotive sector and supporting learner development

All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
