Financial Adviser – Divorce Specialist

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a highly capable Financial Adviser with a passion for supporting clients through complex life transitions, particularly divorce and separation.

This is a specialist private wealth role focused on high-net-worth individuals navigating one of the most financially and emotionally sensitive periods of their lives. You’ll combine technical financial planning expertise with exceptional interpersonal skill to deliver clarity, structure, and long-term financial stability.

You’ll either already have experience in divorce-related financial planning or be looking to develop into this highly valued niche with full support.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering expert financial advice to clients going through divorce or separation
  • Supporting complex financial settlements including pension sharing, asset division, income structuring, and long-term planning
  • Working closely with family lawyers, mediators, and legal professionals to align outcomes
  • Rebuilding client financial strategies post-divorce across investments, pensions, tax planning, and estate considerations
  • Managing sensitive conversations with empathy, discretion, and professionalism
  • Developing a niche client base through solicitor networks, referrals, and professional partnerships
  • Collaborating with paraplanning, administration, and business development teams to ensure a seamless client journey
  • Maintaining high standards of regulated advice and ongoing suitability reviews

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Financial Adviser / Wealth Adviser
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (essential)
  • Level 6 / Chartered status (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience advising HNW clients and handling complex financial scenarios
  • Exposure to divorce financial planning or similarly sensitive advisory work (strong advantage)
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust quickly in difficult circumstances
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, tax, and estate planning
  • Proven track record of delivering compliant, high-quality financial advice
  • Ambitious mindset with a desire to build a specialist reputation in private wealth

What’s On Offer
