MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The purpose of your role will be:

• To deliver a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum in Business Studies
• To support the overall progress and development of students
• To create engaging learning opportunities enabling students to reach their full potential
• To contribute to raising standards of attainment
• To support both academic and personal development of students

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lesson planning, curriculum development and resource creation
• Monitoring and assessing student progress
• Contributing to departmental and whole-school improvement
• Participating fully in CPD and performance management
• Maintaining accurate records and tracking data
• Communicating effectively with students, parents and stakeholders
• Acting as a form tutor
• Delivering high-quality teaching and learning

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
• Have experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level (including placements)
• Demonstrate strong understanding of effective teaching and learning
• Have knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
• Be committed to high expectations and inclusive education
• Be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Have good ICT skills and a willingness to innovate
• Create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and external stakeholders
• Be well organised with excellent time management
• Be able to motivate and inspire students to succeed
