SEN Teacher – Hillingdon

Location: Hillingdon, West London

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting in the Hillingdon area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an enthusiastic educator looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs.

About the Role

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech and Language Needs
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties

Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver creative and personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Develop and implement EHCP targets and support plans
  • Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records
  • Foster positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies
  • Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with SEN pupils preferred
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
