Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and organised Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory control, staff management, and duty scheduling. The successful candidate will ensure the warehouse operates efficiently, safely, and accurately while maintaining high operational standards and supporting overall business performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and storage facilities
• Ensure goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently
• Monitor warehouse performance and implement improvements where required
• Maintain clean, organised, and safe warehouse environments
• Coordinate deliveries, stock transfers, and logistics activities

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
• Monitor slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete inventory
• Ensure proper stock rotation and inventory control procedures are followed
• Work closely with purchasing and finance teams regarding stock management

Staff Management

• Supervise warehouse staff and daily workforce activities
• Allocate duties and manage staff schedules and shift planning
• Operate and manage the warehouse duty management system
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity, and performance
• Train and support warehouse employees on procedures and safety standards
• Conduct performance reviews and address operational issues where necessary

Systems & Reporting

• Use warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory software effectively
• Generate operational and inventory reports for management
• Monitor KPIs including stock accuracy, dispatch efficiency, and staff productivity
• Identify operational risks and recommend process improvements

Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with company health and safety procedures
• Conduct routine safety checks and maintain warehouse standards
• Ensure safe handling and storage of inventory and equipment
• Report incidents, damages, or safety concerns promptly

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations
• Experience managing warehouse staff and shift scheduling
• Experience using warehouse or duty management systems
• Good understanding of stock control procedures and reporting
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and warehouse management software

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP, or similar
• Forklift certification or warehouse safety training is an advantage
