Learning Support Assistant

Are you someone who loves helping others grow, develop, and succeed? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in a specialist education setting, supporting young people who need patience, encouragement, and someone who truly believes in them.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support students who have additional learning needs, struggle with confidence or emotional wellbeing, or need a more personalised approach to education.
• Work 1:1 and in small, nurturing groups to build positive, trusting relationships.
• Encourage confidence and emotional development among students.
• Support learning in a calm, patient manner.
• Help young people rediscover a love for learning, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and understood.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A kind, patient, and understanding approach to supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and listening skills, essential for building trust and rapport.
• A genuine passion for supporting the development and success of young people.
• Experience working with children or in support roles is helpful but not essential.
• A positive and empathetic mindset, ready to make a significant impact.
• English and Mathematics grade C or equivalent.
