Location: Redhill, Surrey

Pay Rate: £120 – £160 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Temporary / Full-Time (with potential for extension)

Start Date: Immediate or September


About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Premises Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance, and security of a busy school site in Redhill. This is a key role ensuring the school remains safe, compliant, and fully operational for staff and pupils.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall maintenance and upkeep of the school premises
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including fire safety checks and risk assessments
  • Carry out and oversee repairs, inspections, and planned maintenance
  • Liaise with and manage external contractors and service providers
  • Oversee site security, including opening/closing, alarms, and CCTV
  • Supervise cleaning and site staff
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation
  • Respond quickly to emergencies and site issues


What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Premises Manager, Caretaker, or Facilities professional
  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Ability to carry out basic maintenance and repairs
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)


Desirable

  • Experience working in a school or education environment
  • Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH)
  • Experience managing contractors or site staff
