The Role:
Leidos is looking to recruit a vitally important role within the Operations Team; Readiness Manager. The post requires the successful applicant to be responsive for all operational planning for Leidos support to contingent operations, particularly planning for a Strategic Base Outload into Europe in support of NATO.
The successful individual will be responsible to the Head of Operations for engagement with all Military Commands (MC) to understand their requirements, refine their demand signals and understand the implications for Leidos, communicating across Leidos business areas on their role within those plans.
The successful candidate will be ex-military, staff trained and experienced on military logistic planning and execution, ideally with operational experience. The post requires the individual to develop a deep knowledge of Leidos’ logistic information systems and their inter-relationship with MOD Log IS to ensure Leidos delivers the MOD’s supply chain requirements on operations. The position requires physical presence on the floor plate in DSCOM most of the time, with some WFH options as well as a willingness to travel to MC and Leidos depot locations. He or she must be prepared to undertake CONDO training and be medically fit to deploy, if required, forward with operational logistic HQs on large-scale exercises and, if necessary, operations.
The post requires a sharp, analytical mind, an appetite for hard work, a proactive, collegiate mindset working with our uniformed colleagues, an ability to work in a small, close-knit operations team based in Abbey Wood and a sense of humour.
Team Leidos Strat Base Outload Planning Manager
The Readiness Manager is responsible for ensuring that Team Leidos is poised to support the deployment of contingent UK forces at pace and scale. The role requires cross-organisational coordination between Leidos, MOD stakeholders, and internally to Team Leidos mission partners. This position leads high-priority issue resolution, manages time-sensitive logistics tasks, oversees compliance, and prepares senior decision-makers with clear and actionable operational intelligence.
The incumbent will report to the Team Leidos Head of Operations and be embedded in DSCOM, specifically DSCOM Plans.
