Looking for a long-term Teaching Assistant role in a local primary school?

The Supply Register is working in partnership with the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust to recruit an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming primary school based in Grantham.

This is a full-time, temporary role supporting pupils across EYFS and KS1, ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the classroom and making a real difference to children’s learning and wellbeing.

About the Role

As a Primary Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant, you’ll support pupils throughout the school day, working closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support where needed.

You’ll play a key role in creating a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment, ensuring pupils feel confident, supported, and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
• Deliver small-group interventions and 1:1 support when required
• Assist the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
• Help create a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and school staff
• Encourage pupils’ independence, social development, and emotional wellbeing

This Role Is Suitable For

• Experienced Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants
• Support staff with Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications (desirable but not essential)
• Individuals with prior experience working in UK primary schools
