Octavius Finance, a search firm specialised in Macro market and economic recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading emerging markets macro team in London. The team are seeking a talented Economist with a focus on CEEMEA markets. This role is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who are eager to apply their expertise to real-world markets.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct in-depth macroeconomic research and analysis with a focus on CEEMEA markets.
2. Monitor economic indicators, policy developments, and geopolitical events to provide actionable insights.
3. Collaborate with buy side clients to inform market movements.
4. Prepare and deliver high-quality research reports and presentations on economic trends in the region.

Requirements:

1. PhD or MSc in Economics or a related field.
2. Strong knowledge of CEEMEA economies, with expertise in macroeconomics and sovereign debt.
3. Experience in a sell side bank, hedge fund, or similar environment is highly desirable.
4. Some experience working/living in the CEEMEA region preferred but not mandatory.
