SEN Teacher
Location: Mansfield (across two adjoining sites, with occasional travel to nearby provisions)
Salary: M1 to M6 depending on skills and experience (£32,916 to £45,352 per annum)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, term time only
About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, creative and committed SEN Teacher to deliver a truly personalised learning experience for young people aged 7 to 19.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a flexible and supportive environment where teaching is tailored to meet the individual needs of learners, many of whom require additional support. You will play a key role in helping students build confidence, improve engagement and achieve both academic and personal progress.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan, deliver and review personalised learning programmes, including lesson plans and schemes of work
- Use creative and flexible teaching approaches to engage learners with diverse needs
- Support learners’ academic, social and emotional development
- Encourage learner voice and involve young people in shaping their own learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative, multi-sensory learning experiences
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and risk management procedures are consistently upheld
- Support with assessments, progress tracking, SEN documentation and learner profiles
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and provide reports for external stakeholders where required
- Commit to ongoing professional development and best practice in SEN education

Skills and Experience Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience of SEN teaching (preferred)
- A relevant Level 6 qualification
