We are seeking an ambitious and inspiring Head of Geography to lead and develop our Geography department from Year 7 to Year 13, starting in September.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Geography teacher with proven departmental leadership experience, or for a strong practitioner ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school.

About the role:

As Head of Geography, you will:

• Lead, manage and develop a successful Geography department across KS3, KS4 and KS5
• Drive high standards of teaching, learning and outcomes for all students
• Oversee curriculum planning, assessment and progression from Year 7 through Year 13
• Support, mentor and develop Geography staff within the department
• Play a key role in the wider leadership of the school

The ideal candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Geography across secondary key stages (KS3–KS5)
• Experience leading a department or subject area, or strong evidence of readiness for leadership
• A passion for Geography and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning
• Strong organisational and communication skills
