An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to support a high-precision production environment.
The role is fully nights and plays a key part in ensuring machinery reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across site.
This is a hands-on position suited to an engineer comfortable working autonomously on nights while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across CNC and manufacturing equipment
Respond to breakdowns and perform fault-finding to minimise downtime
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Ensure all work complies with health & safety procedures, including isolations and permits
Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to root cause analysis
Equipment & Environment
CNC machinery (lathes, mills, machining centres)
Automated and semi-automated production equipment
Precision manufacturing / machining environment
About You
Proven experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., Indentured Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
Strong mechanical background with electrical fault-finding capability
