About the Role

We are currently seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in the Ellesmere Port area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, pursue a career in education, or utilise existing school-based experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson plans in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting students with their learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment
• Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

Requirements

• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Previous experience working with young people (e.g. schools, coaching, youth work) is desirable
• A confident and professional manner
• Ability to adapt quickly and think on your feet
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
