The Role

Reporting to the Central Treasurer, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely financial reporting while ensuring strong financial controls and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading month-end and year-end close processes
• Producing financial reports in line with UK GAAP / FRS 102
• Managing balance sheet integrity and strengthening internal controls
• Overseeing AP, AR, payroll, and tax compliance
• Acting as the key contact for external auditors
• Leading budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Driving continuous improvement across finance processes
• Managing, mentoring, and developing the Accounts team

About You

• AAT qualified or above (or equivalent experience)
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards
• Proven experience in financial reporting and audit
• Experience managing month-end and year-end processes
• Solid understanding of AP/AR and payroll
• Advanced Excel and financial systems skills
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management ability
• Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused mindset
