Elevation HR is excited to be working with a growing healthcare company based in Harrogate as they look to appoint a HR Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. 

As HR Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day HR function across the organisation, leading a small People team and partnering closely with senior leaders. You’ll provide expert support across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring best practice, compliance, and a positive employee experience throughout.

The position will involve a mix of operational and strategic HR responsibilities, including employee relations, recruitment compliance, performance management and onboarding. As a HR Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and supporting a small and self-sufficient HR team
  • Provide guidance to managers and senior leadership on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain high-quality talent
  • Ensure employee records, contracts, policies, and HR documentation are accurate and up to date
  • Monitor HR metrics and workforce data to support business decisions and continuous improvement
  • Support payroll processes and ensure accuracy of employee information
  • Manage HR compliance activity, audits, and liaise with external HR advisors where required
  • Promote employee wellbeing and support safeguarding best practices across the organisation

The ideal candidate will:

  • Experience working within a regulated environment such as healthcare, education or the NHS 
  • Previous experience leading or managing a team 
  • Confident handling complex employee relations casework and sensitive HR matters 
  • Strong ability to influence and build effective relationships with stakeholders and leadership teams
