Temporary Credit Controller

  • Job Type: Temporary (4-week assignment)
  • Working Hours: 4-day week (Monday to Thursday, 8am - 6pm)

We are seeking a Temporary Credit Controller to join a well-established, fast-paced membership business based in Solihull. This role is a 4-week temporary assignment to support the team due to an increased workload as a core team member returns from maternity leave.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Managing and overseeing the entire credit control process.
  • Working closely with the finance team to implement and maintain credit control systems and procedures.
  • Chasing overdue invoices by telephone, email, and letter within agreed timescales.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all chasing activity.
  • Ensuring that all transactions are compliant with company policies.
  • Handling disputed bills and negotiating to bring payment within the agreed terms.
  • Providing accurate advice on billing queries.
  • Responding promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries.
  • Preparing files for transfer to debt collection agencies if necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Credit Control.
  • Proficiency in Xero and familiarity with Chargebee or similar subscription billing systems.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
