New Chapter Tuition is currently recruiting experienced and passionate SEND Tutors to provide bespoke 1:1 tuition for children and young people aged 5–25 across Bromley and surrounding areas.
We support learners with a wide range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, Dyslexia, Speech & Language Needs, Anxiety, and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).
This is a rewarding outreach-based role supporting young people accessing EOTAS packages, alternative provision, elective home education, PEX pathways, or awaiting specialist placements.
Tuition takes place within homes, libraries, schools, community settings, and alternative provisions.
The Role
• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition
• Support learners with SEN / SEND needs including Autism, SEMH, and ADHD
• Adapt sessions to EHCP outcomes and individual learning styles
• Build positive, trusting relationships to improve engagement and confidence
• Use trauma-informed and nurture-led approaches
• Monitor progress and complete weekly session reports
• Liaise professionally with families, schools, and professionals involved
Requirements
• Minimum 1 year experience supporting children or young people with SEN / SEND
• Experience working as a Tutor, Teacher, Teaching Assistant, HLTA, Mentor, or similar
• Good understanding of the UK National Curriculum
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
• Ability to work independently in community-based settings
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
