We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to serve as the front-line ambassador for our client's business, delivering exceptional customer service experiences. This role involves handling a variety of membership enquiries and issues with professionalism and charisma. The successful candidate will manage our general email inbox, liaise with members and their employers, and handle both telephone and email queries efficiently.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • First line respondent for all membership and potential membership telephone enquiries using the Horizon telephone system App.
  • Assess and resolve customer problems or enquiries to ultimate satisfaction, displaying compassion and courtesy.
  • Manage voicemails and proactively return calls or answer queries in a timely manner.
  • Handle general email enquiries, using knowledge of the company and its products to promote offerings.
  • Manage difficult conversations with professionalism, patience, and empathy.
  • Record details of actions taken during telephone conversations/email management for historical records in the members’ database.
  • Administer all aspects of new membership applications, including invoicing and taking payments over the phone.
  • Maintain the accuracy and orderliness of the membership database.
  • Provide reports on membership, workshops, exams, and other events.
  • Support the team with administration of the Moodle-based TPI Learning Hub courses and updating social media and website content.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a highly active customer service environment.
  • Proficient in administration tasks involving written communications and record keeping/data inputting.
  • Excellent customer-centric telephone manner and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in databases, Word, and Excel.
  • Fast, thorough, and accurate administration skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
  • High organisational skills and natural efficiency.
  • Desirable:
  • Knowledge of Moodle (training provided if necessary).
  • Experience with social media platforms.
