Overview

A small, friendly and growing accountancy practice is looking to appoint a NEW Part-Time Bookkeeper as a result of continued company growth. This is a newly created role, offering approximately two days per week, with flexibility on how those hours are worked.

You will be joining a close-knit and supportive team, working with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and supporting the wider accounts team with high-quality bookkeeping services.

This role would suit someone who enjoys a hands-on bookkeeping position within a personable practice environment and is looking for long-term stability in a part-time capacity.

Salary is pro-rata for part-time hours. Higher salaries can be discussed.

Duties

• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients.
• Processing purchase and sales invoices.
• Bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Posting journals and maintaining client ledgers.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or similar.
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries and obtain missing information.
• Supporting accountants with records in preparation for accounts and tax work.

What we're looking for

A successful candidate will demonstrate previous UK bookkeeping experience with multiple clients. You must live within a 45 min commute of Tunbridge Wells.
