Recruitment Advisor – Logistics (Multi-Site)

Home-based with travel

If you’re a recruiter who enjoys being out in the operation, building relationships, and seeing the impact of your work first-hand, this role will suit you perfectly. I’m supporting a long-established organisation in the logistics sector as they look to appoint a Recruitment Advisor to take ownership of hiring delivery drivers across a cluster of depots.

This is a genuinely varied, hands-on position. You’ll be sourcing talent, managing compliance, interviewing candidates face to face, and even carrying out short driving assessments to ensure the business brings in safe, reliable, customer-focused drivers. Alongside this, you’ll also support wider recruitment needs across the organisation when required.

Your key responsibilities

  • Owning the full recruitment cycle for delivery driver roles across multiple depot locations
  • Writing and posting engaging adverts across job boards, social platforms, and other channels
  • Screening applications and conducting telephone interviews to assess experience, attitude, right-to-work status, and licence validity
  • Coordinating interview schedules and driving assessments
  • Conducting in-person interviews at depots and completing short driving assessments in company vehicles
  • Managing all compliance checks, including licences, RTW documentation, and internal standards
  • Keeping accurate, GDPR-compliant records within the ATS
  • Working closely with HR and Logistics teams to support smooth onboarding and induction
  • Contributing to driver retention activity, monitoring early attrition, and following up with leavers
  • Supporting recruitment for non-depot roles when needed
  • Preparing recruitment updates and reports for management

What you’ll bring

  • Recruitment experience (transport/logistics/warehousing helpful but not essential)
  • Understanding of driver compliance requirements (DVLA checks, RTW checks, etc.)
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and driver-specific regulations
  • Comfortable using MS Office and recruitment systems (ATS/HRIS)
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to compliance
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine interest in driver welfare
  • UK Driving Licence (Company car and fuel card provided)

Working style

  • Home-based with regular weekly travel to depots
  • Standard business hours with flexibility during peak recruitment periods
