Deputy Manager – EBD Children’s Home (CM22)

Purpose: Support the Registered Manager in running a high-quality, safe, and nurturing home for young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties. Lead the team, uphold standards, and ensure excellent care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and oversee daily operations.

• Support staff supervision, training, and performance.

• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

• Maintain compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.

• Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support.

• Build positive relationships with young people and professionals.

• Manage rotas, medication, and household routines.

• Act as senior lead in the Manager’s absence.

Essential Requirements

• Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

• Working towards/willing to complete Level 5.

• Experience in EBD residential care.

• Strong safeguarding and behaviour management knowledge.

• Confident leader with excellent communication skills.

• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and on-call.

Desirable

• Previous deputy/senior experience.

• Full UK driving licence.
