Maintenance Manager – Hull

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer near Hull to recruit a Maintenance Manager to lead a skilled engineering team, shape maintenance strategy and directly influence how a high volume manufacturing site runs day to day.

The Role

As Maintenance Manager you will take ownership of engineering performance across the site and lead a multi skilled maintenance team.

• Lead, coach and develop a team of maintenance engineers to improve performance and technical capability
• Build and deliver short, medium and long term maintenance and engineering strategy for the site
• Drive preventative maintenance activity to improve reliability and reduce downtime
• Oversee computerised maintenance management systems and improve how they are used across the site
• Manage engineering stores systems and improve organisation, accuracy and efficiency
• Support capital expenditure planning and delivery to improve plant performance
• Work closely with production teams to improve safety, output and equipment reliability
• Lead continuous improvement activity across maintenance and engineering standards
• Set expectations for workmanship standards and ensure compliance across all work

The Person

To be successful in this Maintenance Manager role, you will bring strong leadership and a hands on understanding of engineering in a manufacturing environment.

• Qualified in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or both
• Experienced Maintenance Manager or Head of Engineering in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Strong background in continuous improvement and reliability focused maintenance strategies
• Confident using computerised maintenance management systems
• Experience improving stores management and engineering inventory systems
• IOSH Managing Safety qualified or strong health and safety leadership experience
• Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate multi skilled engineering teams
• Strong planning, organisation and project delivery skills
