Location: Surrey
Salary: £15 – £17 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Flexible (Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm)
Reporting To: Nursery Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team at our flagship nursery, The Crèche. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a high-quality, flexible childcare setting that prioritises both staff and children equally.
As a practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding early years care and education, ensuring all children are supported in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and early years education in line with EYFS standards
- Follow the nursery’s daily routine, ensuring smooth transitions between activities (mealtimes, play, sleep, learning)
- Support children’s development across all age groups
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are always followed
- Work collaboratively within the team to maintain high standards of care
- Be flexible to support staffing requirements and varying shift patterns
Person Specification
Essential
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
- A genuine passion for early years education and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid.
- Safeguarding/Child Protection training.
- Experience working across different age groups
