Higher-Level Teaching Assistant - Chatham

Full-time - £120 -£130 per day -September 2026 start - Temp-to-perm

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to provide interventions for classes of learners in Year 5 and Year 6. This role is based in Chatham and would be a full-time role starting in September and would be on a temp-to-perm basis. Shortlisting for this position is commencing over the coming weeks and interviews will be arranged this term.

The Role

• Working with small classes of pupils in Year and Year 6, providing academic interventions.
• Identifying and targeting gaps in knowledge and helping to bridge the gap for learners.
• Working with small groups of students or individuals needing special attention
• Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, parents and Carers

Requirements

• Experience working as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant would be highly desirable.
• Holding a L4 HLTA qualification would be highly desirable but not essential.
• Experience leading and delivering lessons to whole classes within Primary.
• Experience planning and delivering specialist PPA lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Must have right to work in the UK
