We're offering a 12-month secondment within a friendly, fast-paced Finance team - perfect for an experienced Accounts Assistant looking to deepen their experience and strengthen their CV with a recognised manufacturing business.

The role

As Accounts Assistant, you'll be right at the centre of the finance function, playing a vital role in keeping processes running smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

• Checking purchase invoices using automated and manual matching systems
• Accurately processing purchase invoices onto the accounting system
• Ensuring supplier invoices are paid on time and in line with agreed terms
• Resolving supplier queries, including statement reconciliations and new supplier set-ups
• Supporting the Management Accounts team by running reports and completing basic analysis

This is a varied, hands-on role where accuracy, organisation and clear communication really make a difference.

About you

You'll bring confidence, attention to detail and a proactive mindset to everything you do. Ideally, you'll have:

• At least 2 years' experience in an accounts or finance assistant role
• The ability to prioritise workloads and consistently meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills when liaising with suppliers and internal teams
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• AAT Level 3 qualification (advantageous, but not essential)
