Reed Lancashire is currently working with a well-established and growing organisation based in the South Ribble area, who are looking to appoint a Business Development Co-ordinator on a permanent, full-time basis due to continued expansion.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a Business Development Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of the business by identifying and engaging with prospective clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for new client enquiries
  • Proactively researching and identifying potential new business opportunities
  • Conducting outbound calls and follow-ups to generate interest and build pipelines
  • Responding to inbound enquiries via phone and email
  • Building strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and promoting suitable solutions
  • Upselling and cross-selling where appropriate
  • Booking qualified appointments for the external business development team
  • Working closely with the sales function to ensure a smooth handover of opportunities
  • Working towards targets based on appointment bookings and lead generation


To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A positive, proactive and tenacious approach
  • The ability to self-motivate and manage your own workload effectively
  • Confidence and professionalism when speaking on the phone
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Good IT skills and familiarity with CRM systems or similar
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong customer relationships


Salary and Benefits

  • Salary in the region of circa £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
