What the Finance Manager role will involve:

• Full ownership of monthly management accounts, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and weekly cashflow reporting
• Cost accounting across materials, labour and overheads - maintaining costing models, analysing margins and identifying savings across manufacturing operations
• Overseeing inventory accounting, stock valuation, reconciliation and internal controls
• Acting as a true business partner to production, procurement and operations — supporting pricing decisions, CapEx appraisals and commercial strategy
• Driving process improvement and reporting automation as the finance function grows

The suitable Finance Manager candidate:

• Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with solid experience in a manufacturing or product-led environment highly desirable
• Strong technical grounding in cost accounting, stock management and management reporting would be ideal.
• Commercially minded and hands-on - someone who wants to understand how the business works, not just report on it
• Confident working directly with founders and senior stakeholders in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting
• Collaborative, personable and comfortable in a non-corporate culture where pragmatism and common sense are valued. 
• Good sense of humour is a must
