Mitchell Adam are pleased to be working with a well-regarded legal services business based in Birmingham, who are looking to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper to support their finance function. This role offers a strong level of responsibility within a structured and professional environment, making it well suited to someone who values accuracy, consistency and long-term stability within a specialist sector.

Working closely with senior colleagues, you will take ownership of core bookkeeping processes, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently across the business. From managing ledgers, reconciliations and postings through to supporting month-end and financial reporting, you will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of the finance function within a regulated setting.

Alongside day-to-day financial management, this position offers the opportunity to build specialist exposure within legal finance and compliance, supporting operational excellence while working within a business where professionalism and attention to detail are highly valued. Skills Needed

• Proven bookkeeping or finance experience with strong exposure to reconciliations, ledgers and financial record management
• A formal bookkeeping or finance qualification (AAT / ICB or equivalent)
• Strong systems experience, ideally including Xero or similar accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and the ability to manage sensitive financial information professionally
