Shorterm Group are recruiting experienced CNC Setter/Operators (Millers) for a permanent opportunity with a leading engineering organisation renowned for producing high-complexity, ultra-tight tolerance components for aerospace and advanced manufacturing applications. This is a fantastic chance to join a highly capable machining team operating at the forefront of precision engineering.
The Role As a CNC Setter/Operator, you will play a key role in producing intricate, high-accuracy components using a range of modern CNC milling machines. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines - Working confidently with Heidenhain, Mazatrol and Fanuc controls - Manufacturing components to ultra-tight tolerances - Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings - Carrying out in-process quality checks - Working closely with engineers and production teams to maintain high standards
What We're Looking For - Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator (Milling) - Strong knowledge of Heidenhain, Mazatrol or Fanuc machine controls - Solid understanding of precision machining and aerospace tolerances - Ability to work from detailed technical drawings - Quality-driven mindset and strong attention to detail
