Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established and forward-thinking legal services organisation to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier / Bookkeeper. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing finance team within a modern, technology-driven legal environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day financial administration of legal accounts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing sales invoices and maintaining accurate billing records
• Managing the accounts inbox and responding to queries in a timely manner
• Liaising with fee earners and providing financial information as required
• Preparing and submitting payment requests for approval
• Maintaining financial records in line with regulatory requirements
• Performing regular bank reconciliations and monitoring balances
• Posting transactions and maintaining the general ledger
• Supporting wider cashiering duties within the finance team
• Assisting with ad hoc tasks and finance projects as required
• Ensuring compliance with legal accounting rules and best practices

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in a Legal Cashier or similar role
• Conveyancing experience is essential
• Strong working knowledge of Xero
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
