Reed Education are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the Forest of Dean to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher. This is a full-time temporary role starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.

The Role:

You will take full responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum and supporting pupils’ academic and personal development.

Key duties include:

• Planning and delivering effective and engaging KS2 lessons
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil progress
• Supporting pupils’ learning, behaviour, and wellbeing
• Working closely with teaching assistants and colleagues
• Communicating effectively with parents and carers
• Promoting positive behaviour and safeguarding at all times

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 desirable)
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach

Desirable:

• Experience working in a primary school setting
• Availability to start ASAP
