Basic £29k - £33k plus uncapped commission
OTE £37k - £40k year one, rising to £55k+ over time
This role is designed for an experienced telephone-led B2B sales professional who thrives on building long-term client relationships rather than one-off transactions.
You will be responsible for developing, managing and growing a portfolio of business clients, primarily through structured outbound activity, consultative conversations, and regular face-to-face engagement. While the business operates within the recruitment and staffing sector, prior recruitment experience is not required — this role is about selling a service, not just filling jobs.
Success in the role comes from pipeline discipline, consistent activity, and credibility with senior decision-makers, rather than reactive order-taking.
Business Development & Sales
- Proactively identify, target and win new B2B clients through structured outbound calling, email and social media activity
- Conduct high-quality telephone-based sales conversations focused on understanding client needs, pressures and decision-making processes
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects, managing opportunities from first contact through to agreement and overseeing day-to-day recruitment delivery.
- Carry out regular client visits to develop relationships, deepen understanding and support long-term account growth
- Position the business as a trusted delivery partner
- Consistently achieve and exceed individual revenue and activity targets
Account Management & Relationship Growth
- Develop long-term relationships with key contacts, ensuring repeat business and contract longevity
- Identify opportunities to expand and deepen existing accounts
- Maintain regular, proactive contact with clients to understand upcoming requirements and changes in demand
Commercial Discipline & Reporting
- Accurately record all activity, conversations and opportunities on the CRM system
- Forecast revenue and pipeline with a high degree of accuracy
- Monitor performance against targets and take ownership for results
- Contribute market intelligence and feedback to support wider business growth
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with delivery, compliance and support teams to ensure client expectations are met
- Represent the business professionally and consistently at all times
Essential:
- 5–10 years’ experience in a B2B sales or business development role
- Strong track record of telephone-based service selling, not retail or one-off transactional sales
- Evidence of role longevity and commitment
- Experience selling solutions or services with recurring revenue
- Comfortable with outbound calling, pipeline management and performance targets
- Experience conducting sales meetings and client visits
Desirable (but not required):
- Experience selling professional services, outsourced solutions or managed services
- Exposure to healthcare, staffing, or regulated environments
