The Role

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and committed part-time Lecturers to teach across our Foundation Studies provision, supporting learners with PMLD, SLD, ELD and LLD. These posts may be based at Barra Hall, our new SEND centre opening in September 2026, or at our Uxbridge Campus.

You will teach learners across a range of Foundation Learning programmes, working with classes that are mixed in age, ability and learning needs. Depending on your experience and specialism, you may support learners with ASD, ELD and/or complex learning needs, ensuring that teaching and learning is highly personalised, inclusive and aspirational.

What We’re Looking For

You will be an individual who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to enabling learners with additional and complex needs to achieve meaningful outcomes. You should demonstrate:

  • Experience of teaching or supporting learners with PMLD and/or SLD
  • An understanding of Foundation Learning programmes
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred sessions
  • A flexible and collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusive practice

A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one, is desirable.

You will hold a degree in a relevant subject area, or alternatively a minimum Level 3 qualification supported by substantial teaching experience within Foundation Learning. You must have experience of teaching learners with ASD, SLD and PMLD within a Further Education setting.

If you do not already hold a recognised teaching qualification, the College will support you to achieve a Level 5 teaching qualification.

Why Join Us?
  • Opportunity to work in a brand-new SEND facility at Barra Hall
  • Supportive and collaborative Foundation Learning team
  • A role where you can make a genuine difference to learners’ lives
  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities

If you are passionate about supporting learners with profound, severe and complex learning needs and want to be part of an inclusive and forward-thinking provision, we would welcome your application.
