767 Account Manager Position

A1 Personnel are looking for a hands-on Account Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of aerospace component programs. This role combines client relationship ownership with operational responsibility across production and logistics. You’ll act as the central point of contact between customers and internal teams, ensuring delivery commitments, quality standards, and workflow timelines are consistently met.

This is not a purely desk-based role—the ideal candidate is comfortable being on the shop floor, understands manufacturing processes, and takes a proactive approach to keeping materials and production on track.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned aerospace customers
  • Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships
  • Manage customer expectations on timelines, delivery, and technical requirements
  • Handle escalations and resolve issues quickly and effectively

Production & Operations Coordination

  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure orders are executed to specification
  • Monitor production schedules and proactively address delays or bottlenecks
  • Ensure materials, components, and documentation are available and aligned with workflow needs
  • Participate in shop floor discussions to stay close to live operations

Logistics & Delivery

  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery
  • Track shipments, manage lead times, and communicate updates to clients
  • Identify risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation plans

Planning & Process Improvement

  • Take a proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies in workflows
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across production and account management processes
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, communications, and delivery schedules

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (aerospace preferred)
  • Proven track record in account management, project coordination, or operations
  • Strong understanding of production workflows and supply chain processes
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise across technical and non-technical teams
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment

Desirable:

  • Experience within aerospace components or precision engineering industries
  • Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., AS9100)
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems

Key Attributes

  • Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Confident communicator who can manage multiple stakeholders
  • Adaptable and comfortable working both on the shop floor and in an office setting

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Consistently meeting or exceeding delivery timelines
  • Strong, trusted relationships with clients
  • Smooth coordination between production, logistics, and customer requirements
  • Early identification and resolution of potential issues
  • Continuous improvements in workflow efficiency and communication
