Health & Safety Officer
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Salary: 50,000 -60,000

A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to take ownership of site-wide safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives within a technically advanced production environment.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role reporting directly to senior leadership, offering the opportunity to influence and strengthen a proactive safety culture while supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and maintain comprehensive risk assessments across the facility
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation
• Deliver and manage health & safety training programmes

• Lead safety audits, inspections, and workplace monitoring

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions

• Manage PPE compliance and maintain accurate training and safety records
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance

Requirements:

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards
• Experience delivering training and maintaining compliance documentation

Desirable:

• Background in environments involving chemicals or complex materials
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent
