Working closely with an experienced and friendly Finance team, you’ll play a key role in managing client accounts, maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring the smooth running of the accounts receivable function. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build on existing experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or another customer-focused role.

Whether you’re an experienced Credit Controller, a graduate with some office experience, or returning to work and looking for a structured Monday–Friday position, this role offers excellent long-term career potential in a welcoming and inclusive workplace.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing and maintaining customer accounts and the sales ledger
  • Chasing overdue payments professionally and effectively using credit control software
  • Sending payment reminders and following up outstanding balances
  • Processing and allocating daily customer payments
  • Handling customer payments securely over the phone
  • Reconciling bank receipts and supporting month-end processes
  • Investigating and resolving account discrepancies
  • Carrying out credit checks and reviewing customer credit limits
  • Building strong relationships with customers and assisting with account queries
  • Producing reports, statements and supporting finance administration
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller and Assistant Accountant

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or a customer-facing environment
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A positive, proactive and professional approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident using Excel and finance systems
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and work independently
  • A team player with a friendly and approachable personality
