Hays Education is currently working with a warm and welcoming primary school that has a strong focus on inclusion, nurture and positive relationships. The school is committed to supporting every child as an individual and provides a calm, structured environment where pupils feel safe, valued and supported to succeed.We are looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with SEN and challenging behaviour. The child is working at an EYFS level and has a named EHCP, so this role would suit someone patient, consistent and confident, supporting children with additional needs.

The role will involve:

• Providing 1:1 support throughout the school day
• Supporting learning at an EYFS developmental level
• Implementing strategies from the child's EHCP
• Supporting emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviour positively
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience supporting SEN pupils, ideally with EHCPs
• Is confident supporting challenging behaviour
• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Is calm, nurturing and genuinely passionate about supporting children.
