Location: Doncaster
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract until December 2026
Shifts: Rotating 3-Shift Pattern (Mornings, Afternoons and Nights)
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rates, including shift allowance

Our client, a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Doncaster, is currently recruiting for an experienced Shot Blaster to join their production team on a long-term contract running through to December 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure stable work with a reputable company, with the potential to work across a rotating three-shift pattern including mornings, afternoons and nights.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating shot blasting equipment to prepare steel and fabricated components for painting and finishing
• Removing rust, scale and contaminants from metal surfaces
• Inspecting parts to ensure they meet required quality standards
• Loading and unloading heavy engineering components
• Carrying out routine maintenance and cleaning of blasting equipment
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
• Working to production deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Shot Blaster, Sand Blaster, Grit Blaster or Paint Prep Operative
• Experience working within an engineering, fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment
• Ability to work with large and heavy steel components
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Flexible to work rotating morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Overhead crane or forklift experience would be advantageous but is not essential
