Deputy Manager - Domiciliary Care Services 

Our client is a family run, person-centred domiciliary care provider based in Cardiff. They are committed to delivering high-quality care that enables individuals to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. They have been established in Cardiff for over twenty years and due to growth, the director now seeks an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support them in leading and developing their domiciliary care service.

About the Role

As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring compliance, quality, and excellent outcomes for the individuals we support. You will provide leadership to care staff and help drive continuous improvement across the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director in the overall running of the service
  • Ensure full compliance with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) regulations and standards
  • Assist with staff supervision, mentoring, and development
  • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and quality monitoring
  • Support safe recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Manage schedules, rotas, and service delivery efficiency
  • Build strong relationships with service users, families, and professionals
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a senior role within domiciliary care (e.g., Senior Carer, Team Leader, Deputy Manager)
  • Strong working knowledge of CIW regulations and compliance requirements(essential)
  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum) – Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Strong understanding of person-centred care principles
  • Ability to manage challenging situations effectively
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
