An established and growing independent financial planning firm is looking to hire a Trainee Financial Advisor to join its close-knit team in Berkshire. The business manages substantial assets under management and has built a strong reputation for client-focused advice and long-term relationships. With continued growth and a clear internal development model, the firm is focused on developing advisers internally through its own structured approach and culture.

Role Summary


This is an ideal opportunity for a Diploma-qualified Paraplanner or Junior Adviser looking to transition into a client-facing advisory role within a supportive environment. The successful individual will initially spend time across administration and paraplanning functions to fully understand internal processes, systems, and the firm’s approach to advice delivery before gradually taking on client responsibilities.

You’ll work closely with experienced advisers and receive direct mentoring from senior leadership, with a clear pathway toward managing and developing an existing client bank.

Key Responsibilities


• Support advisers with the preparation of complex financial plans, building strong technical foundations

• Spend time within administration and paraplanning teams to gain a full understanding of operational processes

• Assist with client reviews and ongoing servicing, developing confidence in client interaction

• Gradually transition into a client-facing advisory role with mentorship from senior advisers

• Maintain high standards of compliance and suitability across all recommendations

• Build long-term relationships with clients through a professional and consultative approach

Requirements

• Level 4 Diploma qualified

• Minimum of 2 years’ paraplanning experience

• Experience writing complex financial plans across a broad range of advice areas

• Strong technical understanding of financial planning products and processes

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Open to candidates with some advisory exposure who are keen to continue developing
