Accounts Assistant - Residential Lettings - Manchester Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum Bonus Scheme | Hybrid Working | Benefits Package
Overview A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the sister company of one of the UK's largest banking groups. The company manages a large portfolio of Build-to-Rent (BTR) properties across the UK. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of property finances, supporting both internal teams and customers to deliver a seamless and stress-free experience.
Key Responsibilities
Processing daily rent receipts, maintaining accurate records and updating internal teams where required
Completing daily client account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
Supporting Property Managers with setting up and updating rental charges for new and existing customers
Responding to rent account enquiries in a timely and professional manner
Maintaining accurate ledgers across rent, deposits, service charges, and other income streams
Preparing and processing supplier payments, ensuring invoices are correct, authorised, and allocated appropriately
Processing refunds to tenants, suppliers, and other stakeholders as required
Producing accurate operational reporting and management information (MI)
Supporting month-end processes, including reconciliations, reporting, and summaries
Assisting with audits and internal reviews by providing accurate and well-organised information
Ensuring full compliance with client money regulations and internal controls
Skills & Experience Essential:
Minimum 3 years' residential client accounting experience (PRS, BtR, or New Homes preferred)
Experience using property management systems such as SLM or Qube
Desirable:
Industry qualification or membership (ARLA / Propertymark)
