Audit Senior Film and TV

Ambition Europe Limited

Audit Senior - Film & TV | London | Hybrid

Hybrid working: 2 days in the office, 3 days from home, with core hours of 10:00am to 4:00pm
35-hour working week
Manager roles are advisory-heavy
Broad range of work across audit, accounts, and tax

About the role

If you're a qualified auditor looking to build a genuinely specialist career, this is a standout opportunity to join one of the leading practices in film, television, and gaming in the UK.

The UK is one of the largest markets for film and TV outside of the United States, and our client sits at the forefront of that space. With a dedicated division of approximately 80 professionals and an extensive client base spanning major Hollywood studios, international streaming networks, independent production companies, film financiers, visual effects houses, and games studios of all sizes, this team has both the scale and reputation to offer something genuinely different.

The firm is growing and continuing to scale, with a strong internal culture built around people, collaboration, and shared success. This is not a siloed role; you'll work closely with colleagues and clients alike, with real visibility and responsibility from day one.

What you'll be doing

Alongside core audit and accountancy responsibilities, you'll gain meaningful exposure to highly specialist work, including:

  • Preparation and review of BFI certificate applications
  • Preparation of production expenditure analysis for inclusion in tax returns
  • Preparation of tax credit estimates for upcoming film, television, and games productions
  • Preparation and audit of production cost reports for individual productions and co-productions
  • Preparation and audit of funding applications and reports
  • Advising clients on potential incentives and providing budgeting support
  • Managing relationships across a varied client portfolio, setting expectations clearly and confidently
  • Working alongside colleagues in corporate tax, personal tax, payroll, and outsourcing teams
  • Reporting into Managers, Directors, and Partners, with support from a wider team including Trainees

What we're looking for

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience gained in an audit and accounts practice
  • Background in a mid-tier or SME-focused practice is highly desirable
  • Strong accounts preparation knowledge is a real advantage in this role
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
  • Comfortable setting expectations with clients and taking ownership of relationships
  • A clear, consistent career history that demonstrates commitment and stability
  • A strong communicator; clear, concise, and confident when engaging with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Collaborative by nature, thriving when working closely with others rather than in isolation

Beneficial but not essential

  • Prior exposure to the film, television, media, or creative industries
  • Familiarity with film and TV tax relief structures or BFI certification processes
  • Candidates open to relocation are very welcome to apply

Why join

  • The team only hires at this level, meaning there is a much clearer pathway to progress to Manager and beyond
  • As you progress to Audit Manager, roles become increasingly advisory-heavy, offering greater responsibility and client influence
  • A structured and robust training programme is in place; those without prior film and TV experience are brought up to speed gradually, so you won't be thrown in at the deep end
  • Real scope to take ownership and develop your own area of expertise within a growing, market-leading team
  • Hybrid working: 2 days in the office, 3 days from home, with core hours of 10:00 to 16:00
  • 35-hour working week
  • Competitive benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, 25 days' annual leave, and Life Assurance cover
  • Flexible benefits and family-friendly policies
  • Eligibility for the firm's Profit-Sharing Plan, paid in December
