Operations Manager / General Manager – Saltaire Brewery

Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience)

At Saltaire Brewery, we’re looking for an Operations Manager / General Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day operations, from warehouse to wheels to office, ensuring everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading the Team

You’ll inspire and manage a team across drivers, warehouse, and office functions:

• Lead, support, and develop a multi-functional team
• Oversee driver schedules and journey routing
• Ensure seamless coordination between departments
• Monitor performance and maintain high operational standards

Running Warehouse & Logistics

• Oversee picking, packing, and dispatch operations
• Keep deliveries running efficiently and on schedule
• Step in when needed, this is a hands-on role
• Continuously improve processes to boost efficiency

Owning Stock Management

• Manage stock levels and inventory accuracy
• Coordinate stock call-offs and transfers
• Work closely with production to ensure availability
• Maintain reliable stock systems and reporting

Keeping the Office Flowing

• Oversee daily office operations and admin workflows
• Ensure all delivery and stock documentation is accurate
• Support invoicing, reporting, and internal processes

Supporting the Bigger Picture

• Collaborate with sales, production, and leadership teams
• Identify opportunities to improve how we operate
• Help shape processes as the business grows

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Experience managing operations, warehouse, or logistics teams
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Experience with stock management systems
• Ability to coordinate drivers, routes, and deliveries
• Comfortable juggling multiple priorities

Desirable:

• Experience in brewery, beverage, or FMCG environments
• Knowledge of ERP or inventory systems
• Experience managing office or admin teams
• Warehouse or forklift knowledge
